The following recipe is good without icing, it can be a breakfast cake or desert after a meal. It is easy to make and tastes delicious. I have added the directions for a carmel sauce to pour over top if you like your desert extra sweet.
  BackAche?
Lay on the floor with legs on chair or bed, with bottom against chair for fifteen minutes a day, this will solve most problems. Of course if your problem is severe see a doctor or two. I like to have a second opinion.

Exercise to strenghten lower back.
Lay on floor face down, lift one leg and the opposite arm six inch from floor and hold for 8 to 10 seconds, repeat with other leg and arm, roll over and repeat 5 to 10 times.
Stand against wall, move feet a foot or two from wall, be comfortable, slide down the wall until legs are bent similiar to chair design. hold 8 seconds, slide up repeat five to ten times.

These exercises are simple and should not strain muscle only strenghten and tone muscles normally unused on day to day basis. If you experience pain see a doctor.

B.Keaton

2 cups flour (self rising)
2cups sugar
1 cup crisco oil
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups fresh figs cut into small pieces (I freeze figs in summer to use in
winter)

preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix dry ingredients in large bowl. Add oil,
eggs, and vanilla.
Mixture will be stiff and sticky. Mix well. Add figs and mix well again.
Grease and flour pan
Spread mixture in large oblong pan (12x07x2) Bake for 20 minutes. Reduce
heat to 300 and bake addition 20 minutes, toothpick will come out dry,
should be a lovely golden brown.
Iceing is not necessary, but if you want a more finished look or sweeter
cake top with carmel sauce.
During last ten minutes of baking prepare the following sauce.

Pouring baking soda and vinegar down the drain will open a clog.
